Norton AntiVirus 2011 Review
I must admit, there was a time some years ago that I really disliked Norton Anti-Virus.
I never thought I would switch back to Norton AV, but after reading many positive reviews and assurances that the problems that plauged the old software were no longer an issue I decided to give it a try - I'm glad I did.
Good anti-virus software should run almost invisibly in the background consuming minimal system resources. That wasn't the case with the old version of Norton AV, but it is with Norton AntiVirus 2011.
I currently have Norton AntiVirus 2011 running on 4 computers - three older computers running Windows XP and one new computer with Windows 7.
Installation of Norton Anti-Virus 2011 was quick and easy. After installation I ran a system scan and it discovered a few malware issues on two of the computers that the previous AV software had missed. It also removed tracking cookies from my system.
A great feature of Norton AntiVirus 2011 is that regular system scans are performed when your computer is idle. If you move the mouse the scan stops to prevent competition for resources. Once your computer appears idle again, the scan resumes. I like it!
I haven't found anything to dislike about the new Norton AntiVirus 2011. As long as it remains lean, problem free, and reasonably priced, I will remain a happy Norton anti-virus customer for years to come.
I recently purchased Norton AntiVirus 2011 for 1 PC at Amazon for about 1/2 the cost advertised at the local big box stores. Click an image below to check the current price.
